27 May 2010 Shane Healy elected Club President. As a result of the KWCC AGM which was held on Wednesday 26 May at the clubrooms, Shane Healy was elected unopposed as the new President of our cricket club after outgoing President, Gavin Connaughton stepped down after three successful years in the role. Kent Burton was also elected unopposed as Vice-President, after club stalwart Dave Jones passed the baton to the club's younger generation. Both Dave and Gav have guided the club superbly over recent years where success has been achieved both on and off the field. New to the committee this year are Josh Bowler, Daniel Sadik, David Schultink and, after his stellar performance at Moore River, Chris Bennett as social coordinator.
31 March 2010 Kingsley Woodvale Cricket Club secures multiple ‘Premierships’ for 2009/10 season
The Kingsley Woodvale Cricket Club (KWCC) has been successful in securing both the A and B Grade Premierships in the North Suburban Community Cricket Association (NSCCA) for the season 2009/10.
A Grade: Kingsley Woodvale 115 (Sadik 30, Teulon 4-24, Tyson 3-23) & 132 (Jones 32, Tyson 4-45, Dayman 3-19) b Sorrento Duncraig 157 (Paap 59, Sajich 33, Sutton 4-44) & 34 (Bowler 5-14, Sutton 5-20 Man of the Match – Josh Bowler (KWCC)
B Grade: Kingsley Woodvale 178 (Bennett 49, Rowston 38, Stevens 29, Harvey 3-22, Dennis 2-20) & 7-136 (Veitch 33, Stevens 26 no, Harvey 3-25) b Ballajura 142 (Rakich 73, A Jones 5-41, Wissink 16, S Jones 1-2). Man of the Match – Alan Jones (KWCC)

Spectators at both of the 4 day Grand Final’s, held at Robin Reserve, Sorrento and Kingsley Oval, Kingsley respectively, were treated to an intense battle that demonstrated magnificent cricket from all sides and was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. The KWCC teams, under the captaincy of Brad Sutton (A’s) and Chris Bennett (B’s), can stand very proud of their achievements and celebrate the well earned success.

The accomplishments of the club can be attributed to the foresight of Mr Alan Jones who, in previous years, had engineered the development of club players to step up and take the next challenge, put their cricketing skills on display and really contest for positions in the top grades. This commitment from Alan and all players over the years strengthened the talent base at KWCC, providing the solid foundation for its future success.

With Club Coach Chris Jones taking over that responsibility in the 2008/09 season, the foundations previously laid together with Chris’s strategies and vision, has now achieved the ultimate accolade of the talented playing group arriving at the podium to claim the covenant premierships of A and B Grade. With the vision that Chris has together with the strong support from Lachlan Chilman, the player development program will continue to nurture and promote the talent within the club.

KWCC congratulates all its players for an outstanding season and acknowledges the competitive spirit of both Sorrento-Duncraig and Ballajura. Our thanks also to all sponsors, Cummins Engine Company, Bendigo Bank, Kingsley Tavern, Andrea Mitchell (MLA), Slater Gartrell Sports, Sign-A-Rama, Symes Financial Services, Total Eden, Wangara KIA and Suzuki, Jim’s Pool Care Kingsley, Chooks Kingsley.

12 October 2009  Round 1 Results. The 2009/10 season kicked off over the weekend with 4 wins, an unlucky tie and a loss for the Kings across six playing grades. A-Grade were unlucky not to get maximum points against Wanneroo, falling victim to revised playing conditions after their match was rain affected. After making 3/133 (Bridges 36, Chilman 28) the rain came denying the lads an opportunity to build a massive score. Wanneroo were dismissed after reaching the revised target of 104 with Chilman and Furlong dominating with the ball taking 4 and 3 wickets respectively. B- Grade beat Wanneroo by chasing down the total of 127 before drinks and finishing at 4/240. Chris Bennett wasted no time during the run chase making 118 punctuated by four sixes in one over. Veitchy was the perfect foil at the other end remaining 35 not out. Steve Jones the pick of the bowling returning the miserly figures of 3/9 off his allotted 8 overs. C-Grade welcomed association newcomers Ossy Park by defeating them at Robinson Reserve. Nathan Dubrich impressed on debut with a classy 64 no out with Cam Mackinnon featuring with both bat and ball making 34 and taking 2/16. AJ bobbed up with the handy figures of 4/10. E Grade made 7/237 off their allotted overs against Quinns Rocks with Brad Pimlott making 60 and Hayden Morton chiming in with 39. Quinns fells short of the requisite total with Hayden Morton returning 3/23 with the ball. G-Grade similarly saluted the judges against Quinns Rocks with Dave Jones amassing 64 runs in a total of 7/169. Woody and Piliotis chimed in with three wickets each. H Grade were defeated by Quinns, but are looking to bounce back with a win next week.
